Before we brought her home, I had sent an old towel down to Blackburn for Prudence to sleep on with her brothers and sisters. When we collected her, we took the towel, with all those lovely scents, back home with us. For a while Pru slept with her comfort blanket - I like to think that that helped her settle in with us. After about the first ten days, Pru started to sleep right through the night.
So, terrible ectopic things aside, this page is to show the fineness of our dog. Pru is crazy fun most of the time. She understands how to play, and loves to please us. She is a blank canvas, a little sponge who just wants to learn how to help us... it’s just a shame I don’t think she will ever be capable of doing the ironing...
Socialisation
Pru is a social animal. I kept reading about the importance of giving your puppy plenty of opportunities to experience different places and people. There was only one thing for it, I spent much of the summer sitting in coffee shops and pubs just letting her watch the world go by - A tough job, but somebody had to do it.
Training
Pru has been going to obedience classes too which she really enjoys. Being a spaniel she spends a lot of the class with her nose to the floor hoovering up left over treats from the previous class.
